Alice Sweet Alice

Boy, if there's ever a film to depict reasons why you shouldn't have kids, this will do it. Well, there's possibly other film’s that better depicts reasons, but this should jar you slightly.

At the start of the film we find out that Alice is kind of not right in the head. She likes to torment her younger sister Karen (Brooke Shields), she likes to hurl insults at the overweight landlord Alphonso, and she hangs out in the basement while wearing strange masks.

Alice, Karen, and their mother Katherine all go over to Father Tom's rectory (huh-huh-huh rectory) because Father Tom has a gift for Karen. It's a necklace with a cross on it. Alice gets jealous and decides to tease Mrs. Tredoni. How does she tease her? By walking on the floor she's currently in the middle of mopping. Ohh, that'll really shake her up. What's next? Using the glass she just washed? Not wiping her shoes after coming in from outside? What a rebel Alice is. Oh, and Alice is wearing some sort of weird mask as she's rebelling. This mask will pop up throughout the rest of the movie.

Then we get a glimpse into the life of Katherine, Alice, and Karen, as Karen looks at the dress she's gonna be wearing for her first communion and all that other religious crap people go through when they turn a certain age. I went to a Catholic school for about four years of my life and I still don't get the point of all that or what order it's done in. Thankfully, since I wasn't officially baptized, I didn't have to go through it. Ok, sorry for the A.D.D. Back to the film.

Alice gets all jealous over Karen's dress and throws a five minute hissy fit about it. I take back what I said earlier. If you have kids, make sure they're boys. Girls can be so fussy. Anyway, we get our official introduction to Alphonso, who is a big fat pale bald dude, who talks like he's gay, and owns a bunch of cats. When he talks to the cats, he says, seriously, "Are mamas’ kitty's hungry? Mama is hungry too." Then we're treated to a lovely shot of both "mama" and the cat sharing the same meal.

Now, I dunno if it was cat food they were eating, or what. For the sake of what little sanity I have left at this point in my life, I'm gonna go with something everybody can enjoy. Like, oh, Salami. Everybody loves Salami. Except vegetarians. They eat Tofu Salami. And even cats shouldn't have to eat that stuff.

Damn A.D.D. Back to the film.

After Brooke Shields being in this movie for about, oh, five minutes, we cut to the church, where Karen is suppose to get her first whatever along with some other girls. Karen, to make it convenient to the plot, is put last. Her last name is Spages, so unless there were no other kids with last names from S-Z, they didn't line the kids up alphabetically. Anyway, someone calls for Karen and she stupidly goes. The person who called her is wearing the same weird mask Alice had on earlier, so we're supposed to think it's Alice who's doing all of this. I'm gonna just ruin it for you right here and now, because you know I was going to sooner or later anyway, that it's not Alice. But we'll get to that when the time comes. Anyway, this person we're suppose to think is Alice kills Karen and while dragging her body to a trunk, Karen's veil falls off. The person puts Karen in the trunk and for some strange reason, puts a candle in the trunk and closes it.

Like 15 seconds after this, Alice comes out, wearing the veil. See? We're supposed to think Alice did this. She, for some reason, kneels where the other communioners (yes that's not a real word) a minute ago, waiting for her body of Christ. Now here's the weird thing. Father Tom knew Karen was supposed to be getting this thing, and he gave it to all the girls that were in the line. Didn't he stop to notice she wasn't there? I mean, I know it's an all holy Mass and whatnot, but at least show him notice Karen wasn't there or something. The Father just put the little bread thing in the last girl's mouth, then goes back to the altar. Oh and it's here we are introduced to Aunt Annie. She's a royal loudmouth bitch, which will be further shown later on in the movie. She, loudly, announces that Alice isn't supposed to be up there and while this is going on, a nun smells her own farts.

No, wait. She just smells something. It COULD be her farts, but she decides to investigate in case it isn't her own farts. She finds Karen in the trunk, partially on fire. Sadly, we don't see this. But this ends Brooke Shield's involvement with this film. The friggin' movie cover I have states, in big letters "Starring BROOKE SHIELDS.” But I guess at this point in my B-Movie watching hobby/career I shouldn't be surprised that the movie cover lied to me.

Annie freaks out and announces Karen is dead. Katherine freaks out, but Alice just stands here, not so freaked out. See? We have to think Alice did it. Annie, because she's a loudmouth bitch, decides to live with Alice and Katherine during "this hard time.” Meanwhile, Karen and Alice's father, Dom, arrives. It turns out he couldn't handle Alice being psycho and Karen being a needy spoiled brat, so he took off, saying "Umm...I hear a much hotter chick who can't have kids calling me. BRB!" So Dom shows up and after the funeral, the police want to ask Alice some questions, probably because Jefferson Airplane told him to.

They suspect Alice did it, because of the veil business, but Katherine and Dom tell the police to go fuck themselves because they're little psycho isn't capable of murdering anyone. Meanwhile, Alice drops off some cake to Alphonso, and proceeds to call him a fat fuck. Aww, how sweet.

Later, Annie, Katherine, and Alice get into a big argument about Alice going back to school and how she doesn't like Annie being around so much. Annie's husband Jim and their daughter Angela, however, are probably ecstatic. Alice runs off to give Alphonso the rent check. She enters his apartment and before handing him the check, she further insults him, saying he's fat, and his apartment smells. Then before Alice leaves, we find that Alphonso isn't such a nice guy himself as he tries to, ew, force himself, ew ew ew, on Alice. EWWWWWW!!! Thankfully, our little psycho can defend herself, so she runs off unharmed.

Annie decides to leave and while climbing down the stairs, somebody wear same yellow raincoat and mask that Alice and Karen own stabs Annie in the leg and foot repeatedly. Of course Annie thinks it's Alice, so she screams out "Alice no!!" Alphonso runs out and he too thinks it's Alice.

Annie gets carted off to the hospital and Dom goes looking for Alice. She's in the basement, thinking Karen is coming after her. When Katherine, or Kate as she's being called now, shows up to a very sickly pale Annie, Annie wants to tell the police it was Alice, but Kate says no!! Don't!! YOU BITCH!!! Annie, meanwhile, isn't ok, isn't ok, Annie isn't ok, so Michael Jackson can stop asking.

But the police are totally convinced it's Alice, so they make her take a lie detector test. The dude who does the test asks her if she knows who stabbed Annie, she says yes, it was Karen. And she passes the test. The dude running the test says she's psycho alright, then makes a comment about touch her tits. Man, is everyone in this movie a pedophile?

As a result of the tests, Alice is being sent away to some institution, where she throws a fit about every five seconds. I think Kate secretly wished she could've done this earlier.

Things kinda get boring for a while now. We get a scene with Kate and Dom together, trying to rekindle their love, when Dom's new wife calls. Kate, basically tells him when he hangs up, "yeah I would've totally fucked you if your new wife hadn't called." Well, what's stopping us now? Huh? Huh??

Dom gets a call at his hotel from, supposedly, Angela. Now, Dom and Kate thought it was Angela the entire time, because she kinda vanished from the movie. So "Angela" tells Dom that she ran away and is scared. Dom says to go to some park and they'll meet.

At the park, Dom spots a mouse, or a rat or something, and then notices a girl/woman, in a yellow rain coat and that weird ass mask on a bridge. Dom chases her inside an abandoned building, where a very slow scene takes place of him looking for this woman. Then out of nowhere, the woman stabs him in the shoulder and takes off.

He continues chasing her, and for some reason he still thinks it's Angela, but Angela is kind of fat and this woman is kinda slender, so this isn't making any sense what-so-ever. This woman starts throwing bricks at Dom and when he eventually gets knocked out, the woman ties him up and rolls him to a large open window. When he comes to, the woman pulls off the mask and it's....

Mrs. Tredoni!!! WHA?!?!?!?!?! Yes, the old lady who works for Father Tom is going around killing people. And no, they don't clearly state why. But here's my guess, going on the half-assed reason they give in the movie. She's in love with Father Tom. That's about all I figured out. Now, I sort of get her being jealous of Karen cause he gave her a fancy ass necklace. But what did Annie have to do with any of this? She was nowhere near Father Tom at any time throughout the movie. And why Dom? Well, she kind of states why him. The reason is because Dom, and I'm serious here, kept calling Father Tom while he was eating, so she got pissed off that he stopped eating. The fuck kind of reason is that to kill people?

So Dom decides to leave a clue on his body and bites down on the necklace that's apparently so important it's worth killing a 9-year-old Brooke Shields for and swallows it. Mrs. Tredoni pushes him out the window anyway. Then she does what any psycho old lady does: go to confession.

She doesn't outright say she killed people, but sneaks around it saying she "thought" of killing people and that it's wrong to think such things. I dunno, I think about killing people all the time. But I have enough will power and too much of a sweet ass to know that I'll never survive in jail. So Father Tom says he understands these feelings because it sucks seeing the people she loves suffer, so it's ok to wish them happiness in death. In other words, he just gave her more fuel to continue her little killing spree.

She has her sights on Kate, who's now just called Kat, because it's "painfully obvious" she wants to jump Father Tom's bones. Actually I never picked up on this, but Mrs. Tredoni did.

Dom's body is found and when suring his autopsy, they find the cross and conclude that Alice isn't the murderer. So Alice gets released and goes back home. And Mrs. Tredoni is on her way to kill Kat. The cop outside leaves, and of course it's here when Mrs. Tredoni comes to do her deed.

But Alice sneaks into Alphonso's place and puts a jar of roaches on his fat stomach, then leaves with her mom to church. So Mrs. Tredoni doesn’t find Kat at home. But Alphonso starts screaming about the roaches, which startles Mrs. Tredoni, so she runs. But she's in full gear, so when she runs by, he thinks it's Alice. But when he pulls the mask off, he sees who it is, so Mrs. Tredoni has no choice but to kill him. This causes further screaming and the cop, who just now came back, hears this and runs in. She spots Mrs. Tredoni fleeing the scene.

Much like Lee Harvey Oswald or John Wilkes Booth, she runs someplace to blend in with a bunch of people. Here, it's at church during mass. The police notified Father Tom about this, and he says she'll come along quietly with him, cause he doesn't wanna disrupt the mass. This turns out to be ironic in the next few minutes.

When the whole Body of Christ thing is going on, Mrs. Tredoni plops her psycho ass next to Alice. He skips over Alice and goes to Mrs. Tredoni and tells her he knows and is going to take her to the police, so come along quietly, so they don't disturb mass. Well, it must be opposite day in Tredoni land cause she doesn't come along quietly, yelling out that Kat is a WHORE!!, then she disturbs mass by stabbing the shit out of Father Tom.

The ending doesn't make any sense here. People are rushing to Father Tom's aid, the police run in, everything is pandemonium. Alice walks away, carrying the grocery bag Tredoni used to carry her knife and mask, and she has the knife Tredoni used to kill Father Tom and as she slowly slides it into the bag, she gives us a little "Donnie Darko" stare and freezes. Roll credits.

Wait...what? Is Tredoni the real killer or was it somehow really Alice this ENTIRE time? Was Alice controlling her with her mind or something? Were there plans for a sequel? Like, what the hell, man? I'm so confused, but the movie's over with, so let's not dwell on it too much longer.

To be honest with you, it's not THAT bad of a movie. Yeah there's tons of slow parts, and the whole motive isn't explained, and the ending is just confusing as fuck. But if this was remade with a better script, I think it would be a cool story. And I liked Alphonso, all pedophile-ness (yeah, this also isn't a real word) aside. I thought he was funny and slightly creepy but in a good way. He depicts every landlord I'm sure everyone has had at some point in their lives. Or will have.

Alice in Wonderland (1976)

My introduction to this version of "Alice in Wonderland" was at the 2004 B-Fest in Chicago. I remember scanning the titles that were going to be played for the next 24 hours and thought "'Alice in Wonderland'? They can't mean the Disney version." Then I noticed that it was being played at 2 AM and I realized it was an adult version.

Yes. A porno version of "Alice in Wonderland". Up until I saw "Gay Niggers From Outer Space" I thought I have seen everything. And this is one of those movies you just have to see for yourself to believe.

The story starts with Alice, a librarian who gets hit on by William. She rebuffs him saying she had to feed her 90 cats and catch up on Reader's Digest. William says he'll go visit some hookers and storms out. Alice sings a song (Oh yeah I forgot to mention it's also a musical. Did your mind explode yet?) about growing up too fast and decides she's gonna be a slut! Good for her.

Then Mr. Rabbit appears. You know, when making a live action version of Alice in Wonderland you have to consider how weird a lot of it is going to be. Seeing a man dressed up as a rabbit is a bit disconcerting. Anyway, Alice doesn't question why this guy is dressed like a rabbit and runs to call the police. Instead she following him through a mirror and lands in a room with two doors and a dog. I have no idea what the dog is doing there, but considering what type of movie this was, I was scared.

Thankfully, the bestiality is put on hold but for now she drinks this potion to fit through the tiny ass door in the room. This causes her to shrink down and not her clothes which actually makes sense if you think about it. She wraps herself with some sheet thing I guess she just happened to be wearing and walks out the door.

While looking for the rabbit, she falls into a lake where she meets a guy dressed up like a cat. Talk about a furrie fantasy movie. The cats have some weird ass names, but there's three girls and one guy. Sounds like fun. And when complaining about being wet, the cats insist they dry her...with their tongues. You can kind of guess what happens next.

After the cats give her some kind of white lingerie thing, she finds herself at a riverbed. She sits on a rock and finds out that it talks. The rock urges her to touch herself and she does so. It's quite erotic in a way, at least it would be if it weren't for disembodied voices going "Oh yeah...just like that..."

After the self love, Mr. Rabbit appears and takes Alice to The Mad Hatter. He insists the 9 3/4 on his hat is his cock size but after seeing it, I'd say he's at least 5, maybe 6. Anyway, he presents his cock to Alice and after getting permission, she sucks him off.

Now I know what a review would be like if I ever decided to watch a Mary Carey film. Oh and I should mention here that in between these "acts" there's a title card that comes up with a sentence depicting what's going to happen next. Then written in red, is something to make that sentence even dirtier. Hope you see what I mean.

When the Hatter is "done", a big crash is heard. It turns out that Humpty Dumpty fell. Well, more like his dick fell. And nobody could get Humpty's dick back up again. So Alice gives it a shot. Two blowjobs within five minutes of each other, not a record but still pretty impressive.

After Humpty gets "it" up, Alice, along with Hatter and Rabbit, decide to head to the King's Ball. Many double entendres are made out of the words "ball" and "queen's box" and before you think you're gonna shoot yourself in the head, we meet Tweedledum and Tweedledee.

They like to fuck. And they do, with Alice watching. Kinky. We find out more about them later.

They arrive at the Ball and Alice meets the King. He talks her into letting him go down on her, but the Queen walks in on them and asks for head. Not Alice's head, she wants Alice to GIVE HER head. Alice insists on a trial and it's at this point the film melts down and I stopped understanding what the fuck was going on.

There's a trial where Alice is found guilty, but there's lots and I do mean lots of topless dancing. While Alice is getting primped for the Queen, a bunch of random scenes of people of Wonderland fucking each other is presented, along with a hot chick breaking the fourth wall. I sure hope you get that joke. It's during this weird ass montage of fucking that we find out that Tweedledum and Tweedledee are in fact brother and sister. That's what was missing from this movie, incest.

While getting Alice ready, the two girls doing so go down on her as well, but the Queen walks in. Alice and the Queeny (This fall on CBS) do their thang (I'm sure you're sick of me saying they fucked by now), which causes the Queen to pass out.

Hatter and Rabbit come and help Alice escape and there's a 10 minute escaping scene as there's a chase throughout the entire forest. They meet up with the furries and they throw her in the lake.

Somehow she ends up back at the Library where William shows up. He apologizes to Alice, but Alice, after learning that sex is good and fucking is better, rips his clothes off and goes right at it in the non-fiction section. Then after a strange montage of Alice sliding down some rapids naked, she and William gets a house somewhere and they have kids and whatnot and they lived happily ever after! Aww!

So there you have it. There's nothing more I need to say. How can you not love a porno musical version of Alice in Wonderland? This movie is kinda hard to track down, but if you find it you'll see it's worth the work.
Alice pulls a boner, indeed.

Adam and Evil

I wonder what gets into some film makers. I mean, do they really think they're making a good movie? Ok, that's probably true, but then what do they think when they hear it's gonna be a direct-to-video release? They probably get depressed, say hell with it, and make it, but with not as much gusto. But I'll give them one thing, they picked an interesting name. When I was at my video store last month, and they were getting this movie ready to collect dust on the shelves, I said "Adam & Evil? HAHAHA!!! I gotta see that!" So finally, I did.

The movie starts off with this family burning in a house while some dude is screaming in slow motion. Maybe if he'd speed up, he'll be able to save them. Turns out the dude is Adam and he's just having a nightmare. Adam wakes up next to Yvette, who isn't exactly nightmare fuel if you get what I'm saying, and comments about "having that nightmare again". Turns out the nightmare wasn't a nightmare but something that really happened some time ago. Yvette is all like "Let it go. They died, and sure it was your fault. But let it go!" But enough of that cause their friends show up and it's time to party! Like in all teenage horror flicks, a bunch of teenagers get together, go somewhere far away, and get MURDERED!!! But I'm getting ahead of myself.

The teenagers here are going to some Lake to celebrate their graduation. I'm willing to bet that Yvonne is suppose to be Yvette's sister or something because why would the writer give two characters similar names? Unless they're saying that Yvette was like, "Oh..my..GAWD!!! You, like, have a similar name then mine? GET OUT!!" and they became the best of friends!! But Yvonne is kind of a stuck up smarty bitch because she constantly shoots down Seth, the virgin who has a crush on her. Seth steals his dad's viagra, which is probably gonna prompt new tv ad campaigns about parents talking to their kids about Viagra abuse and they could possibly OD on it if taken wrong.

So they all show up at Adam's house, pick him and Yvette up, all the meanwhile two creepy guys are watching them from afar in a van, talking about "getting revenge" and "it's gonna be a fun weekend". This makes it sound like "Friday The 13th" meets "Deliverance".

So off they go, but they get lost so they stop in a real friendly bar full of rednecks, where the sherriff and his slutty wife Mo-Reen (as The Sheriff calls her), are playing pool. The guys ask for directions while Seth runs to use the bathroom. There, he runs into Mo-Reen and she throws herself on him, making him nervous. He nearly creams his pants when she plants his hand on her supple boobies. Seth runs out so he can go change his underwear and the wife joins the gang at the bar. When Mo-Reen finds out where they're going, she scares the shit out of everyone by about a killer that's running loose. Earl tells her to shaddup and tells the kids to ignore the hot slutty thing over there. The kids leave and soon they arrive at the lake.

Oh, the name of the Lake they are going to? Lake Nede. Nede? Spell it backwards, look at the title of the movie, have a cheap laugh, then try to stop yourself from sending a death threat to the film makers.

So they arrive at the lake, set up their camping stuff, get drunk, then everyone tries to get laid. Seth takes 5 Viagra pills and goes after Yvonne, who shoots him down. But no worry, Mo-Reen just happens to come along and helps Seth get rid of that boner. Meanwhile, Clint shows up only to show us that he exists and gives us a creepy vibe. Mo-Reen and Seth finish up and she sneaks back home. Not even five minutes later, some mysterious killer sneaks into Seth's tent, cuts his throat, and then permentantly gets rid of the boner.

Ouch.

The next day they all leave Seth alone to rot in the hot sun while they frolic in the water. This montage lasts a good ten minutes. And the director, or the DP, or both, are pervs cause we get another boob montage. Not a complant, just an observation.

When they are done, they realize they haven't seen Seth all day...hmm... So Matt goes to check on him and finds his dead body. He freaks out, and tells Adam, who also freaks out and goes to tell everyone else so they can freak out too, but he can't find Rob and Rachael. They're off on a boat and he's singing to her. During a romantic scene with these two bland people, someone throws fireworks at them, then the sound of "something" in the water while they shout "STOP! IT'S NOT FUNNY!" over and over. Yeah, that's helpful. But on the upside, they get killed before we have to hear anymore god awful singing.

While panicking, they run into Clint and they all think he did it cause he's all creepy and just happened to be there. He declares his innocence and everyone immedately believes him. He says there's a police station some miles away. But all their cars don't work, cause the killer cut the fuel line. Smart killer.

So they all come up with the brilliant idea to walk. Yvonne and Matt pair up and they find a van. Matt recognizes the van and pieces it all together. Somehow. There was this dude they all use to know named Shane, and they think he's the one killing everyone, which is a fair assumption because Shane's best friend, Dave, is found dead in the van. The killer, who uses a crossbow, kills Yvonne, and Matt runs away. Meanwhile Clint and Evelyn stumble upon the bar/diner/garage they all came to earlier in the movie but find it closed and locked. Evelyn takes off while Clint breaks in. Inside he finds the dead body of a character that we never met, so it isn't important. He then gets attacked by another secondary character but later on we see this is Shane. Clint is killed and Shane takes off. No! Come back Shane! Come back!!

They all meet back up, Matt tells them it's Shane, and they freak out and decide to steal Shane's van to get the hell out of there. Shane appears and stands in front of the van saying that "you're" gonna pay. Yeah, I'm already paying by watching this movie (twice now!). Evelyn urges Adam to run him the fuck over and he does.

While driving away, Earl, who found Clint's body, comes after them, thinking they killed him. When the van runs out of gas, they have no choice to stop and talk to the rattled hillbilly cop. He believes them and takes them back to his house, where the slut awaits.

Earl takes the boys statements and they think it has something to do with the thing Adam's been having nightmares about for four years now. One night he and Matt got really drunk and was at some house shooting fireworks off. They accidently let one of them fly into the house and the fire started, which killed the whole family inside. So now they think Shane is getting revenge but they don't know why.

While that's going on, the girls get all nice and clean. Mo-Reen for some reason breaks down into tears in her bedroom, like she was the one who watched all of her friends die in one night. But it's not over yet! The Mystery Killer sneaks in and kills Mo-Reen. Then he starts a fire in the house. Earl tells Matt to get Mo-Reen while he goes put the fire out. Sadly, Earl is killed. So much for karma, huh Earl?

Outside, Adam realizes this is his chance to do some good for a change and run into the house to save everyone. Matt finds Mo-Reen dead and becomes a victim himself. Adam finds them both dead and he runs back out. Then he discovers who the real killer is and it's not Shane...

It's Evelyn!! WHA???

It all turns out that the family that got killed in the fire was going to adopt Evelyn, who turns out to be a orphan. And it ALSO turns out that she's the one who actually started the fire, not Adam and Matt, because she is an insane pyro. So I guess he can sleep better at night now. And finally, it also turns out that Shane was actually trying to save everybody when he stop Evelyn and saves the day, but we never find out why.

Evelyn ends up committed in a mental institution, wearing only a strait-jacket and panties, for some odd but erotic reason. Told ya the director was a perv.

Watching it back, I realize it's not as awful as I
first thought it was. No, it's not good. At all. It's still pretty slow and it's still you're typical "teenagers go somewhere and get killed" movie. But I did find myself laughing a lot at all the bad acting, especially when Matt gets angry. I was kinda sad to see Earl and Clint die, they were the best characters. And it sucks all the hot chicks in the movie either died or were bat-shit insane.

Frogs

So "Frogs" was made in the 70's when everybody was all up in arms about pollution. Too bad they didn't have a groovy Al Gore make a movie called "The Swinging But Inconvenient Truth". Believe it or not, this is an attempt to cash in on the anti-pollution craze. This doesn't really figure into the plot, however. We mainly get cranky old guys, drunk people, and lots of amphibians.

We meet Pickett Smith (Sam Elliot sans mustache), a random photographer who's taking pictures of animals. The annoying thing is everytime Pickett snaps the picture, a movie credit pops up. I'm sure his editor isn't gonna be too happy with this.

"SMITH! Why are the words "A Samuel Z. Arkoff Productions" over this picture of a lizard!"

Anyway, Pickett eventually finds a lot of garbage and starts taking pictures of that. There's so much trash in fact it had me wondering if The Rolling Stones did a show there the night before or something. So Smith is snapping along when Clint and Karen, drunk on their asses, are doing water donuts. They stupidly run him over on their speedboat. At least these two had the courteously to stop and offer to take him to their island to dry off.

There Smith meets the cranky old man Jason, who's having a Fourth of July/birthday party. He basically bosses his family around and yells at everyone for no reason. He yells at Smith for trespassing on his property, but eventually welcomes him, in his own way. He tells Smith that some weird ass shit has been going down on this here swamp/island and he wants to know if Smith will help him figure it out. And some dude named Grover is missing. I'm guessing he's out somewhere figuring out the differences between near and far. Smith agrees for some odd reason. Jason didn't offer him money or his daughter or anything. So I don't know what Smith is getting out of this deal.

After Smith meets the rest of the family (each one of them weirder than the next), Smith goes poking around. He finds Grover dead, which coulda been avoided if he only turned into Super Grover. Smith decides to gank his Jeep and reports back to Jason, who seems upset by this. We never find out who Grover was exactly. Was this dude his son? Bodyguard? Driver? Secret lover? No one says.

In the midst of all this, and through the rest of the movie I might add, we get random shots of frogs just croaking. That's basically all the frogs do in this movie, hop around and croak. Karen comments that the frogs been getting loud over the past few days they been on the island, and that they have the habit of trying to claw their way through the windows. And we also see Clint (along with everyone else) drink and hit on Bella, the black model chick who tends to dress like Erykah Badu at times. There's some kids there to add to the tension and suspense. Will the kids make it out alive? Does anybody care?

The next day, everyone is celebrating the 4th and Jason's 100th birthday (They never really say how old he is. Judging by his crankiness, he's gotta be pushing 100). Clint decides to play a game called "King of the Log" and randomly attacks Michael with a pillow, knocking him off the log. Michael's dad Stewart is like "KICK HIS ASS!!" but Michael pussies out. Clint hits on Bella some more in front of his wife and it makes me think I'm watching Lifetime.

Before I think that for too long, the animals on the island finally go berserk and slowly attack. First some smart salamanders, and possible a gecko, sneak into a greenhouse and manage to push over tons of bottles of poison that just happens to be there, killing Kenneth. Michael is out doing something when, I swear to God, a bunch of trees attack him. I think what's suppose to be happening is spiders are killing him, but we just see leafy things attacking him until he's dead. Iris' death kinda cracked me up cause the entire time the animals weren't doing anything but just standing there going "hiss" or whatever and Iris goes "AHHHHH" and she runs into a tree, some thorns, a bear trap, glue and feathers, vines, etc. Finally, she's bitten by a snake and her body decomposes at an alarming rate. Stewart, meanwhile, gets chomped by a alligator and/or crocodile, which is the most plausible thing to happen out of everything in this whole movie.

Pickett discovers Kenneth's body and says everyone should leave. Jason says fuck that, yo! Then I pick up on some racist undertones when Bella, Charles, and Maybelle want to leave and Jason basically treats them like shit. But he allows them to leave (Oh thank you Mr. White Man) and Clint decides to take them.

Clint takes the freed islanders to the other side of the lake and is looking for someone when an animal bites the rope from his boat, which causes it to drift 500 feet. I didn't know a boat can drift that far within a matter of minutes. But Clint decides to swim for the boat and he's attacked...by something. Somehow Jenny sees all this and has a freak herself. Running into the water she runs into the most dangerous animal of them all: A TURTLE! OH NOES!!!!!!111!

Smith and Karen take off with the kids, but Jason refuses to go. Smith and Company says "See ya!" and take off. After a very anti-climatic scene in the water when the boat is stuck on something, they make it across. They find Bella's luggage but no sign of them, so I dunno what happened to them.

After being on a road for hours, they get picked up by a lady and her son...and a toad. AHHH!!!!!

Later that night, Jason is by himself in his house. He has a freak out himself and falls out of his wheelchair. The scene fades, credits roll and we see that a giant cartoon frog has eaten Jason. Seriously.

After watching this movie a second time, I quite enjoyed it. Maybe it's cause over the past two years I've subjected myself to worse crap than this, or something, I dunno. But I laughed at all the crazy shit that happened in this movie more times then I could count. So next time you see this commercial, remember: they could kill ya! Or...have other animals do it for them. Whatever.
